Overview

When the love is deep and the pain of not having the one you love is profound, you write a love song. "One Day" by Cody Jay, starring Cinta Laura is a song about the hardships of breaking up with the love of your life. We venture into the memories of Cody and he tries to cope, but struggles to make sense of it all.

Approach

In the span of just one day, we embarked on a mission to craft a poignant tale of love, loss and the hope for another chance. Thanks to the remarkable generosity of our collaborators, we secured a breathtaking sky-rise location in Downtown Los Angeles. Armed with a small crew of two, our objective was to breathe life into Cody's emotive song. Our vision was clear: to distinguish between the past and the present, and we found the perfect cinematic tool in anamorphic glass. Through expert color grading, strategic location selection, and masterful cinematography, we added an extra layer of depth and emotion to Cody's already captivating track.

The result

A beautiful story built on black and white flashbacks and colored present time accentuated by fantastic performances, set design and cinematic flares. This collaboration brought Cody millions of views on Vevo and Youtube and helped launch the early stages of his music career.
